We would like to practice what we preach, so we are taking this opportunity to give you some information on our AES IntelliNet network. Southwest Dispatch Center wants to make sure you understand that one of the tools available to you, is Southwest Dispatch Center’s robust AES IntelliNet network. Southwest Dispatch has something to offer you that no other central station can – the largest and most robust central station owned AES IntelliNet network in Texas.

What is AES IntelliNet 2.0?

AES is a mesh network that consist of IP Links (or nodes) and AES units. The nodes and AES units communicate with each other to provide another communication option to battle the end of life for POTS and 3G/4G/CDMA cell units. The strength of our network is the combination of both the IP Links (nodes) and the number of AES units on that network. How many do we have? I’m glad you asked. We have 68 IP Nodes on our network and 32 on the DFW network alone.  Think of an IP Link as base antennas installed throughout the area to increase coverage in the network. We have over 32 of those spread throughout the DFW area.
